Just to put things into perspective, the first episode of the last season of Succession got 2.3 million views, and Euphoria’s Season 2 premiere hit 2.4 million. And guess what? True Detective’s numbers are expected to climb even higher in the next few days, just like Succession and Euphoria experienced.
Fans didn’t waste any time catching up on past seasons before the new one started. In fact, True Detective was the most-watched title on Max in the week leading up to the Season 4 premiere. The new season boasts a solid 92 percent approval on Rotten Tomatoes, with audiences giving it a thumbs up at 74 percent.

Even though they don’t exactly see eye to eye, Liz and Evangeline have to team up to uncover the dark secrets hidden under the ice.
